What is A Crumpet?

 According to Wikipedia: Originally from England, also called Pikelets, also very popular in Scotland or Wales this is a pan fried unsweet batter. Is this human, perhaps?  Aha, they are made with yeast. They may not be but surely something humans will eat and in large quantities.

So bubbly topped with taste of the English Muffin. Interesting, probably makes great French Toast.
